Welcome to Acupuncture: Acupuncture is used to rebalance the flow of energy in the body. Acupuncture is effective at treating pain and illnesses and restoring the body, mind, and soul. Acupuncture is a component of Traditional Chinese Medicine in which hair thin, sterile needles are strategically inserted into points around the body. Acupuncture is used to rebalance the flow of energy or “qi” in the body to alleviate pain and help restore balance. At our office we use acupuncture to effectively treat a variety of ailments including back pain, knee pain, neck and shoulder pain, autoimmune pain, fertility and female reproductive conditions, urinary conditions, digestive disturbances, psycho emotional issues and more. Your first visit includes a full consultation and treatment. The first appointment is about an hour. The doctor will give you a personalized recommended treatment plan after your first appointment. This is for New Patients using insurance. After this treatment you may rebook online as a Returning Patient with insurance. A general acupuncture treatment plan is once or twice a week for 6 weeks. Acupuncture is generally a minimum of 3 to 6 visits for best results. You may continue coming in for maintenance or come in as needed. Please look at your schedule when booking your first appointment that you have the availability to come in for at least a few follow ups. Thank you Insurance: We are In Network with Aetna and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, and all their subsidiaries: Meritain Health, Aetna Medicare, 1199 National Benefit Fund, Nippon, Horizon BCBS, Empire BCBS, Anthem BCBS, FepBlue, GEHA, and Braven Health. Most Aetna and BCBS plans have benefits, but not all. Most PPO plans have acupuncture benefits. EPO, HMO, Horizon Omnia, NJ Health/FamilyCare do not. Cigna & UHC are out of network. Everyone should please VERIFY their insurance by clicking the link on the "Book Online" page or at the bottom of the home page. We recommend that you book your appointment 1 week out, so we have time to verify your insurance before your appointment. You may book acupuncture the same day, especially if you already know what your benefits are, but we cannot guarantee what your benefits are until we verify.
